Q3 Management Conference #112 | AUGUST 14 | JEAN LAFITTE
Please join us on Thursday, August 14th, for our 112th Management Conference at 9:30 am at the Town of Jean Lafitte Civic Center in Jefferson Parish. We’ll dive into a variety of topics at the meeting, including an update about the 2029 Coastal Master Plan and new project solicitation by Katie Freer-Leonards, CPRA Assistant Administrator for Strategic Planning. We will also hear from Michelle Gonzales, Jefferson Parish Director of Environmental Affairs, about hurricane damage risk reduction efforts in Jefferson Parish, and from Mel Landry, NOAA Deepwater Horizon Integration & Planning Section Chief, about Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill restoration efforts within the Estuary. Lastly, BTNEP Education and Engagement Coordinator Nicki Boudreaux and BTNEP Communications and Public Relations Coordinator Emily Bonvillain will talk about the launch of BTNEP’s “Estuary Explorer” Strategic Communications Plan. The meeting will be followed by a complimentary lunch. (A vegan option will be available.)
