The incumbent, along with other coastal resources scientists and professionals, will be responsible for performing scientific/environmental and other technical work in support of planning and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Oil Pollution Act (OPA) review as well as federal/state permitting of CPRA's overall coastal restoration and hurricane flood protection program. The Louisiana Wildlife Federation is in its first year with an exciting program to assist in the development of future conservation leaders in Louisiana, known as the Edgar Veillon Conservation Leadership Corps. High school seniors along with college freshmen, sophomores and juniors are eligible to receive expert training to develop leadership skills and techniques to analyze and develop conservation policies.
