Job Description
Environmental Protect Spcl II Under the direction of the Seafood and Aquatic Life group manager. Assist the Seafood and Aquatic Life group in implementing all aspects of bay management activities. Perform complex environmental work to assure the timely proper collection of bay water and raw product (oyster, crab, and fish) samples. Extensive boating activities, some of which might be necessary during adverse weather conditions. Maintenance of vehicles and sampling equipment associated with marine activities. Evaluate laboratory results. Conduct shoreline surveys to evaluate potential sources of pollution. Computer tasks of word processing and data entry. Coordinate with staff personnel and work priorities in the absence of the review authority. Emergency operations may be required at odd hours, weekends, and holidays to protect public health.
