Q1 Management Conference #114 | Thursday, February 12, 2026 | Thibodaux

We invite you to join us for our first Management Conference of the new year on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 9:30 am in Thibodaux. We’ll be hosting the meeting at our brand new home — The Coastal Center at Nicholls State University! We’ve got a great lineup of presenters and we can’t wait to welcome you to the space. First, attendees will hear from Dr. Tim Clay, Associate Professor at Nicholls State University Department of Biological Resources, about his work head-starting diamondback terrapins. Next, we’ll learn about the tracking of swallow-tailed kites within the Barataria-Terrebonne Basin and beyond from Dr. Jennifer Coulson, President of the Orleans Audubon Society. Chuck Berger, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality Engineer, will speak about the analysis and integration of data about a river’s natural processes into human planned modifications. Additionally, Brac Salyers, Fisheries Biologist Manager with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, will share a long-term look at the largemouth bass fishery in the Atchafalaya Basin. Last, we’ll hear from Dr. Rachael Hunter, Wetland Scientist at Comite Resources, about a feasibility assessment of using stormwater discharge to restore coastal wetlands. The meeting will be followed by a complimentary lunch. (A vegan option will be available.)

Below you can find links to the agenda, a parking pass, and directions to The Coastal Center. Street parking adjacent to the Coastal Center is available on Ardoyne and Colonel Drives. Alternatively, space in the lot between the football and baseball stadium will be available. We hope to see you there!
