BTNEP Solicitation for FY27 Project Ideas is Open!

Interested parties,

The FY 2027 Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP) Solicitation for Project Ideas is open. This solicitation is an invitation to the public to submit project ideas that implement Action Plans included in the BTNEP Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP).

If you have participated in the solicitation process before, you will notice some important changes:

  1. We are beginning this process earlier than usual in order to give us a better timeline for thorough project review and selection.
  2. In an effort to better identify needs and fill gaps within all 16 parishes of the estuary, our APTs developed Project Idea Priorities. These priorities are meant to encourage proposals that address specific areas of need as identified by the APTs. They are not intended to preclude proposals that address other issues affecting the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary.
  3. Your project submission will be completed on a fillable PDF form this year. Please read the instructions carefully.

The due date for submissions is 11:59 p.m., Central Standard Time, November 30, 2025. Project ideas should be submitted to Bren Haase and Michelle Felterman at proposals@btnep.org.
