Designed to Teach

The EV-CLC program is designed to provide expert training for undergraduates to develop leadership skills and techniques to allow students the ability to analyze and develop conservation policies. Students involved will learn about conservations issues and work with their peers to develop policy briefings on an issue. They will also have the opportunity to present their work at the annual meeting for LWF. Successfully written and presented conservation resolutions may be adopted by LWF to serve as official policies.

Real-World Experience

Training will be provided by current and former natural resource professionals in public, non-profit, and private sectors. Students will work together over the course of the year to develop policy briefings to present to a panel of these professionals, who will give feedback to each group. Such interactions will be valuable to participants in relation to school success, future career aspirations, and involvement in organizations. Training sessions will take place over 4 weekends (September, November, February, and April) and students will be invited to LWF’s annual meeting in August.
