We are happy to announce the creation of a new listserve to meet the
needs of educators interested in the Louisianawetlands. An informal
group called the LA Wetland Education Consortium has initiated this tool
to help distribute materials and workshop information that are focused
on wetlands information and appropriate for the K-12 education forum
(both informal and formal education).Anyone is welcome to join this
listserve. It is a great opportunity to spread the word and learn about
the great educational resources available from Louisianaagencies devoted
to teaching about Louisiana's fragile coast, estuaries, and wetlands.
If
you would like to join the LA Wetland Education Consortium listserve,
you can sign up by sending a message to the following email address, LISTSERV@LISTSERV.LSU.EDU, with only the following line in the body of the email: subscribe lawec-l YourFirstName YourLastName
For example: subscribe lawec-l John Doe
NOTE:
Do NOT put anything in the subject line of the email and remove any
automatic signatures attached to your email, otherwise the signup
process will not work. You will get a return message indicating that you
have been subscribed to the listserve along with information on other
listserve operations you can perform (such as unsubscribe, etc.). If
you have trouble signing up, email Dr. Pam Blanchard atPamB@lsu.edu. Signup takes approximately 24 hours.
As
a participant, you are welcome to send messages to educators
subscribing to the LA Wetland Education Consortium listserve. We ask
that participants focus their emails on educational opportunities and
materials directly related to wetland education. To send a message,
address the email to LAWEC-L@listserv.lsu.edu. The message will be distributed to all those who have signed up to the listserve.
